OG Anunoby had scored 28 points through two-plus quarters as his New York Knicks attempted to take a 2-0 series lead against the Indiana Pacers Wednesday evening .

The three-and-D wing knew he had to step up with star guard Jalen Brunson having exited in the first quarter due to a foot injury.

While Brunson did return to open the third quarter , Anunoby found himself heading to the locker room. It came after he went up for a lay-up in transition. He immediately grabbed for his left hamstring before heading to the locker room. It did not look great .

Acquired from the Toronto Raptors ahead of the in-season NBA trade deadline, Anunoby played a huge role in New York’s second-half success. The team boasted a 20-3 record with Anunoby playing after the trade. However, the wing did miss 27 games due to an elbow injury.

The update from Madison Square Garden was not great after Anunoby left. The Knicks ruled him out for the remainder of the action with a sore left hamstring.

For New York, this comes after center Mitchell Robinson was ruled out for the next 6-8 weeks after he suffered an ankle injury in Game 1. Star forward Julius Randle is also sidelined for the remainder of the playoffs.

As for OG Anunoby, we will have further updates after the game.
