The pizza at Pitfire is fine. You don’t need to be traveling across town for it, but if you’re hungry in Echo Park and don’t feel like dealing with long waits at Quarter Sheets , their sausage and ricotta pie with hot honey does the job. The real reason to prioritize this casual pizzeria is the massive dining space, which never gets too packed. Originally a vaudeville theater, it’s now a full-on pizza emporium with a full bar, vaulted ceilings, two heated patios, and lounge areas scattered around the brick-walled room. You won’t find a better place for a last-minute group dinner in the neighborhood.
