On Monday night, the New York Knicks claimed victory in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.

The game came down to the wire with a 117-121 final score — and there were several key calls from the officiating team down the stretch.

The officiating team overturned a crucial foul call on Jalen Brunson. It was originally called a foul on the court, but the referees overturned the call after a Knicks challenge and review.

With 52 seconds remaining in the game, the referees called a kick ball violation on Pacers guard Aaron Nesmith. The officiating team later admitted it was the incorrect call.

A controversial offensive foul call on a screen by Myles Turner ultimately handed the game to the Knicks.

There's no question the Pacers had quite a few calls go against them down the stretch.

Indiana fans took to social media with calls to investigate tonight's officiating crew.

"The fact that the refs have helped the Knicks not once but twice these playoffs alone has to warrant an investigation. 76ers got eliminated because of the refs and now we might too. INVESTIGATE," one wrote.

"The refs have their whole life savings on Knicks my God investigate these guys @FBI," another said.

"INVESTIGATE THESE KNICKS REFS!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME," another added.

The Pacers will look to bounce back from this painful loss in Game 2 on Wednesday night.
