Contractor Faces Felony Theft, Worthless Check Charges in Polk County
POLK COUNTY — A Minnesota contractor is facing felony charges in Polk County Circuit Court after allegedly accepting more than $40,000 upfront for a construction project in Luck, issuing an $11,000 check to a subcontractor that could not be paid due to insufficient funds, and submitting a final bill to the homeowner’s insurance company for nearly $100,000, according to court records.
