Mike Britton was elected to the District Leadership Council of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress at its ninth annual convention held in Appleton on May 9-11. The Big Rivers track and field Championships were held at New Richmond on Monday and both the boys and girls competitions crowned championships. Hudson won the boys title while Chippewa Falls won the girls championship. Both the Raiders and Cardinals were the top two teams in team scoring. Chippewa Falls outlasted Hudson by 1.5 points on the girls side with a score of 117.5.
