A Look at the 2024 Sparta VFW Memorial Day Parade - Part I
SPARTA, NJ – Those who chose to ignore the weather forecasts on Memorial Day were rewarded with cooler than usual temperatures for the annual parade sponsored by the Sparta VFW. Under cloudy skies, the Blue Knights kicked off the parade rolling down the parade route, signaling the fun was about to begin. Many Sparta organizations were represented in the parade including the police, EMS and fire departments. Mayor Neill Clark, Deputy Mayor Dean Blumetti, Councilwoman Christine Quinn and Councilman Dan Chiariello handed out American flags to the crowds that lined the parade route.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP...
'Music Is Our Lifeblood:' Married Couple Bring Record Store, Intimate Venue To Boonton
On a recent trip to Boonton Coffee, Shane and Michele Murphy noticed a vacant storefront at 520A Main St. The West Milford couple knew immediately how to use it. Shane, a U.S. Army veteran, and Michele will soon be opening Hidden Tracks Records, a music store and intimate music venue. The grand opening will be held on Saturday, June 1. Click here for tickets.

Registration and Interviews Now Open for Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers Workshop Summer 2024 Musical Theatre Intensive
(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company is now accepting interviews for the Young Performers Workshop Summer 2024 musical theatre intensive. The registration deadline for the program is July 12, 2024. In-person interview dates are taking place on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd, 2024 in the Little Theatre at 400 Jefferson Street in Hackettstown. They are scheduled by appointment between 4:30pm – 6:00pm.

"Jazz Goes to the Movies" Will Celebrate the Music and Stories Behind the Songs
Many jazz standards and today's most popular songs were first featured in films. On Saturday, June 22, an all-star ensemble featuring Don Braden on tenor saxophone and flute, David O’Rourke on guitar, Oscar Perez on piano, Bill Crow on bass, Karl Latham on drums, and Cydney Halpin on vocals will celebrate jazz in film with a concert called "Jazz Goes to the Movies" on the back deck at Morristown's Morris Museum. Audience members are invited to set up their own chairs and bring refreshments while enjoying the music and the sunset.
