Five-week investigation leads to Charges against Phillipsburg woman
PHILLIPSBURG, NJ – A Phillipsburg woman has been charged after a five-week investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine May, 26, 2023 according to the Warren County Prosecutor's office. A joint investigation by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, Phillipsburg Police, and New Jersey State Police led to a North Main Street search warrant being executed in Phillipsburg. After the search warrant was issued and investigated, an arrest warrant was issued for 41-year-old Patricia Haasz. Haasz is charged with two counts of Possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, third-degree crimes, and one count of distribution of methamphetamine, also a third-degree charge. All charges carry a maximum penalty of up to five years in New Jersey State Prison.

Drunken driver hit stopped ambulance in Pa. crash: police
Drunken driving was to blame in an accident involving a stopped ambulance at a Hackettstown intersection, police said. The crash happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when a 30-year-old Independence Township man was driving west along Route 46, police said. When the driver attempted to turn right onto Route 604 north, the car struck the stopped Long Valley First Aid Squad ambulance, according to police.
Hanover Police Find Lost Dog Near Morris County Mall
HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A lost dog was found on Friday evening near the Morris County mall. A Hanover police officer found a golden retriever (freshly groomed) in the middle of the road on Ridgedale Avenue by the Morris County Mall. The dog was cold and wet but thankfully they were able to secure the dog, bring her back to headquarters and keep her warm until Parsippany Animal Control arrived. Man convicted of stabbing woman to death at N.J. home, authorities say
A man was convicted this week of stabbing a woman to death in 2020 at a Hunterdon County home, authorities said. Following a three-week trial, Brandon E. Petersen, 33, of Newton, was found guilty by a jury of murder, unlawful taking of a means of conveyance and weapons-related offenses, according to a statement from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office. He was acquitted of a witness tampering charge.
Warren County pays $2M to 2nd victim of ex-sheriff allegedly known for raping boys in custody
