Tri-City transit agency goes pink + Learn more about new Dial-A-Ride app
Ben Franklin Transit has wrapped two vehicles in pink as it launches its Driven by Hope campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The vehicles will stay pink through October 2027. The pink Driven by Hope effort includes a regular transit bus and a Dial-A-Ride vehicle. Both are wrapped with pink vinyl decorated with the names of local residents who have fought breast cancer. “Each of these signatures represents someone who faced a devastating diagnosis and kept fighting,” said Tara Divers, marketing director. “During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to recognize these brave members of our community and share a reminder that there is hope for everyone going through a cancer battle today.” New Dial-A-Ride booking app In other BFT business, the agency recently launched Book BFT, which allows Dial-A-Ride users to book rides online and through a smartphone app. The system is optional and users may still book by phone. BFT staff will hold information sessions at Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels locations in coming weeks to explain Book BFT and help those interested in setting up online accounts. Each session will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. October 20: Parkside Dining Center, 253 W. Margaret St. in
