Officials confirm Washington murder suspect dead after chase on I-5
EUGENE, Ore. – Traffic on Interstate 5 was slowed due to a sizable police response for a high-speed chase just north of Eugene related to an Amber Alert from Washington. Former Yakima police officer Elias Huizar, 39, is accused of killing his ex-wife and girlfriend, and kidnapping 1-year-old Roman Huizar from William Wiley Elementary School in West Richland, Washington on Monday afternoon. Law enforcement agencies from Washington, Oregon, and at the federal level worked to track down Huizar, who was believed to be headed south towards Mexico.

Fire destroys Selah mobile home
SELAH- A fire broke out in a mobile home on Gibson Road in Selah around 2PM, Monday April 22nd, with the home completely destroyed. Crews responded to the call on the 600 Block of Gibson Road, after the homeowners had escaped the blaze; but the home was lost despite the very quick reaction by multiple crews. We spoke to Fire Commander Jason Woods at the scene who told us:
Three charged with animal cruelty in Yakima
Three people have now been charged with animal cruelty after the Yakima County Sheriff's office found starving dogs on their property. Norma Jean Lister, David Ross Schuster and Rachel Stein have all been charged with 10 counts of first-degree animal cruelty and a single count of animal cruelty in the second degree.
