The Arc of Monroe hosts hiring event for part-time roles
Greece, N.Y. — The Arc of Monroe held a hiring event on Tuesday to highlight its part-time and weekend roles. The non-profit is hiring Direct Support Professionals. "Those roles are crucial. We always say over a shift, a DSP plays a lot of different roles," said Kat Murphy, senior talent acquisition specialist at The Arc of Monroe. "They may be a companion, hairdresser, launderer, all those types of things throughout their shift — really so that population continues to be cared for, and has access to the same things everyone else gets to."

Inside the hollowed halls of the former prison, time has stood still since its closure in 2019. Rusty iron doors and concrete cells remain intact—a quiet, lingering reminder of the area's past.
