Babies R Us locations are coming to Kohl's stores in Westchester, Lower Hudson Valley
Babies R Us locations are expected to open this year at several Kohl’s stores in Westchester County and the Lower Hudson Valley. USA Today reported that Kohl’s is teaming with WHO Global – Babies R Us’ parent company — to open the stores. The seven stores coming to the Lower Hudson Valley are among 200 expected to open around the country. The first locations are projected to open in August, with the rest opening through the fall.

NY weather: Prepare for dense fog in part of New York Monday morning
A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 5:56 a.m. for dense fog until 8 a.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties. "Patchy dense fog is being observed in parts of interior Southern Connecticut and within parts of the Lower Hudson Valley and will likely persist until 8am. Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibility while driving in these areas early this morning. Visibilities within the patchy dense fog will be down to a quarter mile or less. If driving this morning, slow down and keep your distance from vehicles in front of you. Make your vehicle is visible to others on the roadway by using your low-beam headlights. Do not use your high-beam headlights (brights) as they could make the visibility worse," according to the weather service.

The MTA announced the completion of modernization efforts at the Croton-Harmon Yard in Croton-On-Hudson meant to improve train reliability and performance on Friday, May 10. According to MTA officials, the project, which included state and federal funding, was started in 2001 after the site was determined to be inadequate at meeting the needs of crews who maintain the railroad's fleet of trains.
