ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By SUV In Wallkill
The incident happened around 11 p.m. Friday, May 10, in Orange County on Route 211 near Route 17 in the town of Wallkill. New York State Police say that a preliminary investigation revealed that Connecticut resident Mary C. Shea, age 38, from the town of Naugatuck in New Haven County, was walking on Route 211 when she stepped off the curb and into the right lane of traffic when she was struck by a 2017 Ford Escape that was traveling west.
One dead, one wounded in latest Newburgh violence
NEWBURGH – Police are investigating a double shooting in the City of Newburgh that left one man dead and another critically wounded. It happened around 11:30 Monday night. Police Commissioner Jose Gomerez said they found two men shot in a car outside 21 Hasbrouck Street after neighbors called 911 to report hearing gunfire.
Car chase that began in Liberty ends in Newburgh
NEWBURGH – What began as a car chase when a vehicle ran over fire hoses in Liberty on Sunday ended in the City of Newburgh with the arrest of two people. Police said the car sped east on Route 17 to Interstate 84 in the Town of Wallkill where the pursuit was terminated.

NEWBURGH – Police in Newburgh said on Tuesday that the man who was shot and killed Monday night in front of 33 Hasbrouck Street was a 25-year-old Rock Tavern man.
