McInnis announces retirement as president of RichmondCC
HAMLET — Dr. Dale McInnis announced on Tuesday that he will be retiring as president of Richmond Community College at the end of October. McInnis will have worked for RichmondCC for 22 years come July 1, serving as president of the college for 14 years. In September, he will have 32 total years of service with the N.C. Community College System.

Classmates who attended Hamlet High between the years of 1958 and 1972 met to celebrate the school’s 102nd anniversary in a class reunion on Saturday, May 18. There were 66 people in attendance, which was down from the number attending last year; some weren’t able to make it and some had passed away.

Wingate University recently released its academic honors lists for the spring 2024 semester. According to the college: “The Dean’s List includes undergraduate students who have earned a term GPA of at least a 3.30 but no more than a 3.799 on at least 12 quality-point academic hours and have no grade below a C-.”
