Multiple fights at RSHS result in 22 suspensions
ROCKINGHAM — Multiple fights at Richmond Senior High this week resulted in suspension for 22 students. The high school altered its dismissal procedures to prevent opportunities for future conflicts. Social media threats alluded to violence at the school, but never directly identified RSHS or any actual students at the school.

North Carolina Man Found Dead in Camper Identified, Cause of Death Revealed
• A man named Scott Wesley Mack, 58, was found dead inside a camper in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. • The North Carolina medical examiner did not take jurisdiction over the case, so the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office was called.

At 10:32 a.m., officers responded to Zaxby’s following a report of a suspect refusing to leave and resisting arrest. The Rockingham Police Department arrested the suspect. At 7:48 a.m., officers responded to Leak Street Cultural Center following a report of a stolen 40 foot extension ladder, valued at $600. The case is closed by means other than arrest.

This photo was taken at an event held in conjunction with the Mountain Motor Pro Stock Association, which was formed after the IHRA dropped Pro Stock from its lineup for the 2010 season. Montecalvo went on to reach the semifinals in the event. Later that season, he secured the ADRL Extreme Pro Stock world championship.
