Camp season is right around the corner. As is official visit season. Things will kick off on May 30th, with the first day of camp but, more importantly, the arrival of official visits that evening for the weekend. By the time July 4th rolls around, West Virginia's recruiting situation could be wildly different. And I do mean wildly. New commits. New visitors. New offers. Thousands of campers. Twists. Turns. All of it. Before we get there, though, let's take a few minutes to break down the current situation and what fans should be paying attention to next month. The city of Morgantown has repealed a panhandling ordinance that made it the target of a lawsuit filed last month by a legal advocacy organization. WVU Hoops extends offer to another 2026 4-star with rising interest
Coach DeVries and his staff extended a scholarship offer to 2026 guard Jonathan Sanderson earlier this week, per his X (formerly Twitter) account. The offer marks the twenty-sixth high school prospect that has received a WVU scholarship since Darian DeVries arrived in Morgantown. Assistant coach Kory Barnett gave him the opportunity.
