MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — During its meeting Tuesday night, the City of Morgantown cut the ribbon on its newly renovated City Hall building on Spruce Street while also marking its centennial.

City officials said they began renovation of the building in July of 2022 and completed those renovations in April. Many of the upgrades include a return of the historic façade, the restoration of the original windows and woodworking, and upgrading the space to meet current standards. Morgantown City Hall originally served as the city’s fire station and was built in 1924.
