New West Oakland food hall will feature Almanac Taproom
Prescott Market, a collection of food and drink vendors coming to West Oakland, is planning to launch this summer with a taproom from Almanac Beer Co. as its first tenant. The organizers, the same people behind West Oakland Farmers Market and the Prescott Night Markets debuting June 6, are busy recruiting other tenants that will offer a variety of services and cuisines morning through night, including a coffee shop, butcher and burger spot.

Oakland first district nationwide with 100% electric school buses
(KRON) — Oakland became the first school district in the nation to have a fully electric fleet of school buses today. In partnership with the Oakland Unified School District and Zum, a student transportation company, manufacturers said all 74 of these school buses will also be providing energy to the city when not in use.
