CRIME & SAFETY March 28: Arrests, sentencings and fire calls

Wright County Sheriff arrests:

• Jeremiah James Johnson, 44, of Monticello was arrested March 18 in Monticello on a charge of violation of a domestic abuse order for protection.

• Melissa Ann Harrington, 43, of Monticello was arrested March 19 in Silver Creek on a charge of third-Degree DWI.

• Timothy Lloyd Dahl, 47, of Monticello was arrested March 21 in Monticello on a Wright County warrant for second-degree assault.

• Jake Adam Lemon, 48, of Monticello was arrested March 22 in Monticello on a charge of domestic assault.

• Robert Lee Scarbrough II, 47, of Buffalo was arrested March 23 in Monticello on a charge of fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.

Wright County Sheriff by the numbers:

From March 18-25, there were 27 property damage accidents, four personal injury accidents, seven hit-and-run accidents, five car-vs-deer accidents, nine arrests for DWI, two for underage consumption, four school bus stop arm violations and 137 miscellaneous traffic violations.

Monticello Fire Department calls for service:

• Structure fire on Jason Avenue NE at 6:46 p.m. March 19

• Firm alarm on Locust Street at 9:14 a.m. March 20

• Call for smoke coming from freezer at Dollar Tree on Cedar Street at 11:08 a.m. March 20

• Grass fire on County Road 37 at 2:56 p.m. March 20

• Medical call on Broadway Avenue E at 3:24 p.m. March 20

• Motor vehicle accident on County Road 8/Interstate 94 at 1:09 p.m. March 21

• Motor vehicle accident at Riverview and Mississippi drives at 8:38 p.m. March 21

• Motor vehicle accident on Interstate 94 near mile marker 194 at 8:07 p.m. March 22

• Motor vehicle accident on Interstate 94 near mile marker 192 at 11:10 a.m. March 24

• Motor vehicle accident at County Road 37 and Garrison Avenue NE at 12:13 p.m. March 24

Wright County Attorney’s Office court sentences:

• Joshua Paul Anderson, 47, of Monticello, was sentenced on March 19 to commit for 13 months, stay of execution, three years’ probation, 20 days jail, and fined $50 on a drug conviction for fifth-degree possession of Schedule 1, 2, 3, 4 drugs.

• Kristi Lyn Mceachern, 51, of Monticello, was sentenced on March 21 to 364 days jail, 359 days stayed on two years’ probation, and fined $100 on an assault conviction for fourth-degree physical assault on a peace officer, along with obstructing the legal process/interfering with a peace officer.

• Darryl Thomas Rademacher, 48, of Monticello, was sentenced on March 21 to 364 days jail, 349 days stayed on four years’ probation, must serve 15 days, 15 days house arrest with electronic alcohol home monitoring, and fined $350 for DWI, operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 within two hours.

• Tanyia Nina Roberts, 35, of Monticello, was sentenced on March 21 to 90 days jail, 87 days stayed on one-year probation, must serve three days on an assault conviction, fifth-degree inflict or attempt bodily harm.

DNR Conservation Officer’s Report:

• CO Clint Fitzgerald (Buffalo) checked anglers and conducted several commercial inspections. Enforcement action was taken for failure to display registration on a motorized watercraft.

• CO Trent Seamans (Big Lake) focused patrols on sport fishing and recreational vehicle enforcement. Additional time was spent responding to various public land-related complaints that involved litter, illegal burning, and leaving personal property overnight illegally. Anglers continue to target smallmouth bass out of season along the Mississippi River. Several violations were addressed with enforcement action. Other enforcement action for the week included operating an off-highway motorcycle illegally, operating without registration, and burning prohibited materials.
