    Two charged with trafficking stole human remains in PA

    EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials have charged two men for allegedly trafficking stolen human remains to Pennsylvania.

    According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, 39-year-old Angelo Pereyra of Kansas, and 38-year-old Andrew Ensanian of Montgomery, caused stolen human remains to be transported between Kansas and Pennsylvania between 2018 and 2022.

    These charges were filed after a multi-year investigation into the nationwide trafficking of
    stolen human remains, investigators stated.

    Multiple people have been charged previously in Pennsylvania for trafficking human remains, and three have entered guilty pleas .

    The maximum penalty for this offense is 10 years of prison, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
