Opening weekend approaching for City of Goose Creek pool
GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCSC) - Summer is just around the corner and Goose Creek residents will soon have the opportunity to relax at the pool. The City of Goose Creek’s pool is set to open Saturday, May 25 and city officials are working to get the word out. Because the pool sits in a neighborhood, City officials believe that many people do not realize that the pool is owned by the City and is completely open to the public. They want to make sure the community knows about this amenity and that it is available to them.
Women Only Mutiny Mermaid Mixer Planned for Cane Bay Beach on May 19
The Mutiny Mermaid Mixer will make a splash at 8 a.m., Sunday, May 19, at Cane Bay Beach. This women-only relay event will feature a 400-meter swim and a 2-mile run. The fun part about the event is that each woman will register to complete the swim or the run, and the Mermaid Mixer Committee will randomly select each participant’s teammate just prior to the start of the event. The event focuses more on camaraderie and fellowship and less on competition.
