    Minneapolis ranked on U.S. News & World Report's 'Best Places to Live'

    Minneapolis is one of the top 150 best places to live in America, according to a new ranking of major cities from U.S. News & World Reports.

    U.S. News & World Reports highlights 94th-ranked Minneapolis ' big-city amenities, such as museums and sports stadiums, and its "approachable Midwestern feel", noting residents enjoy a "wealth of cultural, culinary and recreation opportunities, all of which vary by season."

    "Locals embrace the harsh winters and partake in hockey, ice fishing and cross-country skiing," the feature highlights. "During the spring, summer and fall, Minneapolis comes alive with outdoor music festivals, baseball games at Target Field and recreational opportunities on the area's lakes."

    Milwaukee, Wisconsin trailed Minneapolis in the 112th spot, but both cities were far behind the top 15 rankings achieved by – ugh – Green Bay, and Madison.

    The top 15 were:

    1. Naples, Florida
    2. Boise, Idaho
    3. Colorado Springs, Colorado
    4. Greenville, South Carolina
    5. Charlotte, North Carolina
    6. Raleigh, North Carolina
    7. Huntsville, Alabama
    8. Virginia Beach, Virginia
    9. Austin, Texas
    10. Boulder, Colorado
    11. Sarasota, Florida
    12. Green Bay, Wisconsin
    13. Charleston, South Carolina
    14. Madison, Wisconsin
    15. Lexington, Kentucky
