Minneapolis native Devin Brown is gearing up to make history with an ambitious solo kayaking expedition along the entire length of the Mississippi River , from Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico .

If successful , Brown will become the first Black woman to achieve this remarkable feat, spanning a distance of 2, 340 miles.
