Kendall-Jackson to Host Largest Kentucky Derby Party on the West Coast
If you can’t fly out to this year’s Kentucky Derby to experience all the excitement from the Churchill Downs grandstands, celebrating the event in Sonoma County might be next best thing. Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate and Gardens will be hosting what the winery calls the West Coast’s largest Kentucky Derby party on Saturday, May 4.
Award-winning pastry chef brings back afternoon teas to Windsor
Warmer spring days means it’s teatime on the patio at Fleur Sauvage Chocolates once again where guests can enjoy an assortment of delightful bites made by award-winning pastry chef Robert “Buttercup” Nieto. The teas are $30 per person and include bite-sized pastries, seasonal pate de fruits, and a beautiful array of bon bons. The teas are available Wednesday-Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily through May 26, with an extended schedule of teas on Mother’s Day weekend with multiple seatings between 11:30 a.m.-4:45 p.m. May 11, and 11:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m., May 12. Santa Rosa man convicted, to be sentenced in 2022 shooting
A Santa Rosa man faces life in prison when he is sentenced for a May 2022 shooting that left a man with a gunshot wound to his neck. A jury convicted Jose Figueroa Baltazar Thursday in Sonoma County Superior Court of attempted murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle, assault with a semiautomatic gun, unlawful firearm activity and possessing ammunition.
