HEALDSBURG, Calif. - Authorities are investigating the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy near a skate park in Healdsburg. The Healdsburg Police Department received a call around 10:30 p.m. from the victim to report that he had been stabbed in the area of Foss Creek Pathway behind Carson Warner Skate Park.

A helicopter crew airlifted an injured tree trimmer to a Santa Rosa hospital Monday in a dramatic rescue captured on video.The California Highway Patrol said on its Golden Gate Division Air Operations Facebook page that its H-30 helicopter assisted a Sant Rosa Fire Department crew in rescuing the injured tree trimmer.The injured worker was in the area of Hood Mountain east of Santa Rosa when he was hurt, and access to the area was difficult, the CHP said.Firefighters first made their way to the injured worker to give him first aid and prepare him for transport. The H-30 arrived overhead and crews performed a hoist rescue, taking him to a waiting ambulance.The CHP said the man's injuries were not life-threatening. It was not clear how the man became injured.The unidentified patient was being treated at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Sonoma County moves away from embattled homeless services provider

At their April 16th meeting, county supervisors voted not to award the nonprofit an extended contract to run a 44-unit interim housing site, and the county's emergency shelter site, both in Santa Rosa. DEMA is a disaster response and homeless services nonprofit formed in 2019. Santa Rosa man convicted, to be sentenced in 2022 shooting
A Santa Rosa man faces life in prison when he is sentenced for a May 2022 shooting that left a man with a gunshot wound to his neck. A jury convicted Jose Figueroa Baltazar Thursday in Sonoma County Superior Court of attempted murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle, assault with a semiautomatic gun, unlawful firearm activity and possessing ammunition.
Changes coming to Sonoma County's cannabis tax code

According to staff analyst McCall Miller, Sonoma County’s cannabis taxes are comparable with those of our neighbors. "We're right in line with Nevada County, Monterey County, Mendocino and Lake Counties," Miller said. Currently outdoor cultivation is taxed at 75 cents per square foot.
