Murder-suicide suspected in elderly couple’s death in lakeside home
JACKSON COUNTY, MI – An elderly married couple likely died in a murder-suicide in their Summit Township lakeside, police say. Virginia Zwick, 74, and Duane Zwick, 75, were found dead Monday, and a preliminary investigation suggests one of them killed the other and one died by suicide, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. It was too soon to which of them was the shooter.

Produce shop damaged by large straw bale set on fire
JACKSON, MI – Authorities believe someone set a large bale of straw on fire outside a Jackson produce shop and damaged the building Thursday. Fire crews were called at 9:42 p.m. May 16 to Keyes Produce, 1130 Cooper St., in Jackson and crews fond the large bale, about the size of an SUV, on fire and starting to burn the side of the structure, according to the Jackson Fire Department.
