Becoming more humid and even warmer this week
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – It’s a more comfortable start to the day today with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s. There’s also a bit more moisture present in the atmosphere, which you’ll feel with slightly higher humidity. Add in a calm wind and a mostly clear sky, and we have the ingredients present to create patchy, dense fog. Any fog present should evaporate by mid-morning.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It’s going to be a quiet night tonight in NWFL w/lows in the 60s. Expect to see some patchy fog Friday morning. After the fog it will be mostly sunny and warm w/highs in the low to mid 80s at the coast and upper 80s inland. It will be a little cloudier Saturday, but still warm and dry w/more 80s. On Sunday the warm and sunny weather returns. One thing to note this weekend will be that it will be breezy and that conditions in the bays and in the gulf will be pretty rough if you are planning to hit the beach or go out in the boat. The forecast will be warm, dry, and humid into next week. No rain is in our 7 day forecast.

PC Commission given recommendation to demolish Marina Civic Center, build amphitheater
PANAMA CITY — Despite months of conversations and public meetings, the existing Marina Civic Center simply might be too expensive for the city to keep. In a Panama City Commission meeting on April 23, officials were presented a recommendation by city staff to demolish the center and replace it with a temporary outdoor amphitheater — one that the community could use while officials continue to explore ways for the city add a future performing arts and events facility.
