Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Bay, Calhoun, Gulf by NWS

A severe thunderstorm warning continues until 4:45 PM CDT for northwestern Gulf, eastern Bay, and southwestern Calhoun counties in Florida's Panhandle. At 4:30 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located northeast of Callaway, moving west at 25 mph, with a hazard of 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. The radar indicated that damage to roofs, siding, and trees is expected in the affected areas such as Lynn Haven, Callaway, and Tyndall Air Force Base, among others. The maximum hail size indicated by radar is 0.75 in, and the maximum wind gust is 60 mph.
