Solar public hearing date still in the future
SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Planning Commission did not set a date for a public hearing for another phase of work on solar regulations at their meeting May 16. The board did agree to a series of text amendments amending Article 15-109 (1) and (2) Accessory Uses Allowed to create private ground-mounted solar energy system regulations. Basically, if you want a ground mounted private system, you'll need to bring plans to the county planner to be approved as meeting the criteria in the language. Roof mounted systems are already okay.
