Milwaukee Chicago Fort Wayne and Toledo Face Isolated Tornado Threat Monday With Discrete Supercells Possible in Zone of Stronger Low Level Wind Shear
CHICAGO — A chance for isolated tornadoes spans an area from southeastern Wisconsin into northwestern Ohio Monday, July 27, with the threat heavily dependent on whether supercells can remain semi-discrete within a zone of stronger low-level wind shear, forecasters said in an outlook updated at 6:54 a.m. ET. The 2 percent tornado probability zone stretches across a broad swath of the upper Midwest and western Great Lakes.

Meteorologist Stephen Puglisi's Monday AM Forecast 7/27/26
Intense thunderstorms will likely be moving through the area later on this afternoon. We are under a level 3 risk for severe storms, and for good reason, as any storms that do develop this afternoon will likely contain strong winds and sizable hail, so keep a very close eye on the skies later today. Highs will be in the middle 80s this afternoon, but we should see considerably cooler and much nicer weather for the remainder of the week. Can we keep the pleasant conditions through the weekend?
