PHELPS — The Martin County Cardinals defeated Phelps 8-3 on the road April 23 for their 12th win of the season. Hunter Moore took the mound for the Martin County Cardinals and led the team to victory with a strong performance. Moore pitched four innings, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out four and walking two. Knox Maynard relieved Moore in the top of the fifth inning, giving up one run on one hit, and recording five strikeouts and one walk.
