    ‘Strong, vibrant and full of promise’: Martinsburg mayor upbeat about city’s future

    MARTINSBURG, W.Va. ( DC News Now ) — In his annual State of the City address, Martinsburg Mayor Kevin Knowles says his city is “strong, vibrant and full of promise.”

    Martinsburg is one of West Virginia’s largest cities which sits in the center of the Mountain State’s fastest growing region.

    Martinsburg residents face Tuesday deadline to weigh in on regional traffic safety challenges

    Knowles also says improving infrastructure is key to moving Martinsburg forward.

    “The police department will have daily interaction with the public,” Knowles said. “To create an environment where the public feels safe.”

    In his address, Knowles gave credit to City Manager, Andy Blake, for “helping to keep the trains running on time.”
