Statements about Crossroads Repertory Theater
Crossroads Repertory Theatre has been part of this community since 1965, originally founded as ISU Summer Theatre, later known as SummerStage in the 1980s and ’90s, and ultimately renamed Crossroads Repertory Theatre in 2006. That 60-year history matters. I’ve been personally connected to it since 2008, working there for 15 seasons — first as a lighting designer for five seasons, and then for the last 10 years as Director of Production. So for me, Crossroads Rep. isn’t an abstract idea; it’s something I helped build, sustain, and take responsibility for alongside many dedicated people.

Jack Omer isn't just growing a multi-unit portfolio. He's extending a family story that helped launch Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken nearly six decades ago. Omer, a third-generation restaurateur and grandson of Lee's co-founder Harold Omer, has acquired five existing Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken restaurants across Indiana, deepening a legacy that began in 1966 when Harold Omer and Lee Cummings opened the brand's first location in Lima, Ohio. The newly acquired restaurants are located in Connersville, Muncie, and Richmond, Indiana, and will undergo remodels to align with current brand standards.

Cozy Table reopens in its new westside location on Tuesday
Cozy Table will open its doors in its new location at 3870 W. Third St. at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10. Owner Kelly Kolios said the restaurant, known for its breakfast and lunch menu, will be open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The menu will be the same as it was when it was located at 2500 W. Third St., and it will seat about the same number of people — approximately 96, Kolios said. The new location is where the former westside Square Donuts was, as well as the Little Blue Tattoo shop. For people wanting doughnuts, Square Donuts moved down a couple storefronts to 3878 W. Third St., which was formerly Carson's BBQ. The Cozy Table opening took a little longer than expected but now people can again enjoy the pancakes, French toast, strawberry crepes, omelets, bacon cheeseburgers, gyro pita plate, onion rings and, of course, pork tenderloin on a bun. Closed and reopening: 5 Bloomington area restaurants close in 2025, another to reopen in '26 Why did Cozy Table move? The location at 2500 W. Third St. is expected to become Bloomington's third Chick-fil-A restaurant, possibly later this year. Opening the chicken chain restaurant passed some

The No-Fuss Spot Every Indiana Foodie Should Drive For
I’ve been chasing down the best diners across Indiana for years now, and let me tell you, Oasis Diner in Plainfield is one spot that keeps pulling me back. Tucked right on West Main Street, this place has been serving up comfort food since 1954, and it shows in every bite.

This Indiana Nature Preserve Feels Like a Hidden Gem Every Season
I remember the first time I turned off Vernal Pike and parked along the narrow roadside entrance to Porter West Preserve. The preserve felt like a secret someone had whispered to me, a place where the woods stretched out in every direction and the only sounds were my footsteps on the trail and the chatter of birds overhead.
