Falls County Commissioners Court met at the County Courthouseon Monday, May 13, with County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), F. A. Girl bitten by venomous copperhead in her own backyard: ‘My body felt like it was on fire’
WOODWAY, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) - A 9-year-old Texas girl is recovering after a venomous copperhead snake bit her on a knuckle of her right hand two weeks ago in her backyard. Eden Sibley, a third grader at Live Oak Classical School in Waco, spent three days in the hospital and was given four anti-venom treatments.
McLennan County commissioners approve project to lower Cow Bayou #5 water levels
MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - McLennan County is taking emergency action to lower water levels at Cow Bayou #5 in Bruceville-Eddy. This is all happening off of Park Lake Drive and Lake Shore Drive. Homeowners there recently reached out to the county concerned about the rising water levels flooding their homes.

Widespread Damage Following Storms In Central Texas
Widespread damage is being reported after storms roared across Central Texas last night. The Temple Mall was damaged, along with some homes and businesses in Temple and Belton being damaged or destroyed. A small plane was blown over at the Temple airport. Trees and powerlines were knocked down and widespread power outages were being reported. Baseball size hail also caused damage and there was street flooding in Waco. So far, there have been no reports of any injuries.
