LORENA, Texas (FOX 44) – UPDATE: The Lorena Police Department says all lanes on southbound Interstate 35 are open, as of 12:54 p.m. The crash scene has been cleared. The department responded to a crash at Mile Marker #321 late Wednesday morning. Two lanes of I-35 were blocked as emergency crews worked the scene. Travelers were urged to avoid this area.
Man accused of abusing young girl for years
Waco, Tx (FOX 44) – A 42-year-old man has been brought from El Paso to face charges of sexually abusing a young girl over a period of several years. Timothy Wayne Jones was arrested by an outside agency and extradited to McLennan County to face charges. He was booked into the local jail on Tuesday.
Traffic crash leads to Robinson standoff
ROBINSON, Texas (FOX 44) – A traffic crash in Robinson leads to a standoff and results in one arrest. Robinson Police Department dispatch received a call of a single-vehicle crash in the 800 block of E. Moonlight Drive. Responding officers discovered the driver had left the scene. Officers found a stolen firearm and open containers in the vehicle. Officers also developed information that the driver sustained injuries and entered a residence in the 700 block of E. Moonlight Drive.

The primary runoff election early voting is from Monday, May 20, to Friday, May 24, with the actual election day following closely behind on Tuesday, May 28. The runoff election in Limestone County pertains to the County Commissioner Precinct 1 seat and will be between Kendall Funderburk and Jody Goodman.
