DULUTH, Minn. - The Duluth Monarch Buddies will host their Pollinator Marketplace on Saturday, June 8. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coppertop Church. Duluth Monarch Buddies is a local non-profit that works to educate the community on the dangers facing butterflies and increase local habitats. At the market, there will be a pollinator and native plant sale, free resources on plants and gardens for butterflies and merchandise for sale. There will also be a garden tour.

Invasive species found in Grand Rapids lake
GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (Northern News Now) - An invasive species was found in a popular Grand Rapids area lake. The Minnesota DNR confirmed they found starry stonewort on the southwest end of Pokegama Lake. It’s a bushy, bright green algae that has a white star-shaped bulb at the end.
