Sudden influx of bugs to Northfield due to new rankings
Since returning to campus a few weeks ago, many human students of Carleton College have noticed a steep increase in the bug population in Northfield. This has been observed by students living on all sides of campus, as well as those who frequent the arboretum. After doing some research in the highly respected U.S. Insects and Bugs Report magazine, the Carletonian’s team discovered something exciting — Northfield, Minnesota has been ranked as the 16th best place to live if you’re a bug in the U.S. this year. This new ranking has caused many middle- and upper-middle-order bugs to seek property in our town. The population surge is also promising for tourism in Northfield, and many local businesses such as Really Little Joy and Hello, Bug Monday are excitedly preparing new menu items to tempt locals. Really Little Joy is even considering selling a blood and honey latte for mosquito clients, if they can get their bug bee-r and liquor license in time for the new menu printing.
