NYC street closures for the Dance Parade in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – The Dance Parade, an event showcasing eclectic dance styles from around the world, will be held in the streets of Manhattan on Saturday.

The 18th annual Dance Parade will feature 10,000 dancers and more than 100 styles of dance, according to its website .

The parade will begin around noon at Sixth Avenue and West 17th Street in the Flatiron District. The route will proceed down Sixth Avenue and then head east along 8th Street and St. Marks Place.

The parade will end at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village, where DanceFest will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Here is a list of streets that will be closed in Manhattan for the Dance Parade on Saturday.

Locations:

• 18th Street between Fifth Avenue and Seventh Avenue
• 17th Street between Fifth Avenue and Seventh Avenue

Route:

• Sixth Avenue between 8th Street and 18th Street
• 8th Street between Sixth Avenue and Third Avenue
• Astor Place between Fourth Avenue and Third Avenue
• St Marks Place between Third Avenue/Astor Place and Avenue A
• Avenue A between 8th Street and 10th Street

Dispersal:

• Avenue A between 10th Street and 12th Street
• 10th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B
• 7th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B
