    Manhattan crews start citywide pothole patching

    MANHATTAN ( KSNT ) – This week, Manhattan crews are starting a citywide “pothole blitz”, to patch potholes throughout the city.

    All of Manhattan’s Street and Stormwater Divisions crews are going to be busy filling the potholes throughout the Little Apple, according to a social media post . Crews will begin patch work on the major roadways suck as Anderson/Bluemont Avenue, Poyntz Avenue, Fort Riley Boulevard, etc.

    After the the potholes are filled on the major roads, crews will move to the residential streets. The city will follow its 2024 Spring Cleanup map and schedule when planning its pothole blitz.

    Crews will start on the southwest part of Manhattan and work their way clockwise during the week to the southwest part of town, weather permitting, according to the city. Signage will be used throughout Manhattan and residents should expect work zones to move periodically as crews move to new areas of town.

    The city’s goal is to fill all of the potholes throughout the city quickly, but if work isn’t finished by Friday, May 17, crews will start up again on Monday, May 20 and work until pothole repairs citywide are complete.
