Belmar Woman’s Club Awards Scholarships to Nine Local Students
BELMAR, NJ - In a generous display of support for local education, the Belmar Woman’s Club has awarded scholarships to nine deserving seniors from Belmar, helping them to pursue higher education at prestigious institutions. Each student received a $1,500 scholarship to aid their journey as they prepare to enter colleges across the nation, including top-ranked schools such as Harvard University and Rutgers University. The scholarship awards ceremony was graced by Joanne De Benedictis, Club President, and Johanna Robinson, Education Chairperson, who personally congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements. Central Elementary School scouts donate crayons to pediatric patients
WALL TOWNSHIP — Central Elementary School’s Girl Scout Junior Troop 1227 recently earned the highly-honored Bronze Award, and did so while simultaneously adding color to the lives of pediatric patients. The troop, with the help of Central Elementary School’s (CES) Principal Efstratios Monafis, collected 45 pounds of crayons, which is enough to give 225 pediatric patients a new box of crayons in their time of need.
