HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A Newburgh woman was arrested in Hopkins County after Madisonville Police say she was in possession of meth and tried to run into interstate traffic during a search of her vehicle.

MPD states an officer saw a blue Chrysler 200 make a quick lane change without a signal and continued to drive recklessly before being stopped.

The driver was identified as Camlynn Oglesby, 25. Police state Oglesby was extremely nervous when talking with officers.

Oglesby was allegedly asked to sit in the stopped officer’s cruiser and when asked if there was anything illegal and for permission to search her vehicle, Oglesby allegedly denied consent.

MPD says a K9 alerted to the vehicle, and while searching, Oglesby allegedly tried running towards interstate traffic. She was able to be placed into custody and placed back into the cruiser.

A lockbox was reportedly found behind the passenger seat and allegedly found inside was a suspected meth glass pipe, clear bags with suspected meth, a straw and digital scales.

Unused syringes were also reportedly found in another box.

Oglesby was taken to the Hopkins County Jail and booked on multiple charges.
