Repairs to I-55/64 across Poplar Street Bridge finish ahead of schedule
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Patching and resurfacing work on Interstate 55/64 across the Poplar Street Bridge finished ahead of schedule. The Illinois Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday that the roadwork in both directions across the bridge from a mile east of the Mississippi River to the I-55/64/70 interchange was completed a week ahead of schedule. The work was originally slated to last over six weekends.
Carnival rides could be coming to Union Station
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Carnival rides and games could be coming to Union Station next year, a spokesperson confirmed to First Alert 4 Tuesday. According to the Union Station Spokesperson, plans for a teacup roller coaster ride, wave swing and an undetermined third attraction have been presented to the City of St. Louis for approval. In addition to the rides, carnival booth games, such as Whac-a-Mole, are also being considered for Union Station.

A former St. Louis Public Schools building in north St. Louis that’s been vacant for two decades is now set to get new life as an addiction treatment and recovery center. The roughly $22.7 million rehabilitation of the old Eliot School by Jubilee Community Development Corporation will establish the Jubilee Wellness Center, with room for 75 beds to help those recovering from substance use disorder.
