A Macon man was arrested Wednesday in connection to the shooting death of a 29-year-old in April, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators served an arrest warrant on 28-year-old Kahlid Harper at a home in the 5100 block of Nesbit Drive. Harper was taken into custody without incident, and held at the Bibb County Jail without bond Wednesday, Sheriff David Davis said in a news release. The sheriff’s office confirmed in an email Thursday that Harper was charged with murder.

The shooting occurred April 19 at 11:48 p.m. in the 3500 block of Fair Street, a dead end off of Mumford Road in West Macon.

Rashad Shaquille Reddick, 29, suffered from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. No one else was reported injured.
