Onondaga County sheriff to retire Lt. Hoosock’s badge and call sign in ceremony Thursday
Syracuse, N.Y. — Onondaga County Sheriff Toby Shelley will retire slain Lt. Michael Hoosock’s badge and call sign in a ceremony on Thursday. The ceremony will take place at 5:30 at the Palladium Memorial in front of the Justice Center at 555 S. State St., said Tom Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. The memorial honors deputies and county first responders who have died this year as well as the three deputies who have died in the line of duty over the years.
