The story made the rounds on social media, and it caught the eye of another small business owner. What happened at PizzAroma in Maumee is a great example of how a simple act of kindness can have a profound impact.
Perrysburg's Wednesday at Woodlands concert lineup announced
The 2024 Wednesday at Woodlands free lunchtime concert series begins June 5 in Perrysburg. Concerts are held every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. through Aug. 28 in the Woodlands Park shelter area, 429 E. Boundary St. Concert-goers can pack a lunch and sit at the picnic tables at the shelter area while listening to music. The weekly lineup is: June 5 - Pilewski & Roth, June 12 - Ben Beallus Duo, June 19 - Tree 3, and June 26 - Old State Line. July 3 - Dave Carpenter Duo, July 10 - The Retro Men, July 17 - Chris Knopp Duo, July 24 - Creole Jazz Presents: Dave Kosmyna, Ray Heitger & Ragtime Rick, and July 31 - Locoweed.
Food Truck Face-Off brings food, fun to the community
For culinary students, the chance to run their own restaurant or food truck is a dream. For the culinary arts students from Clay and Whitmer High Schools, it was a dream wrapped in a stressful package. The 4th Annual Food Truck Face-Off was held Wednesday at Whitmer for the first time since the schools began competing, The event featured three teams from each high school’s culinary arts program serving sample-sized portions from their respective food trucks. Teams competed for the Top Entrepreneur and People's Choice awards.

Living around Lake Erie, many grow to expect mayflies at the beginning of June. But, with the incredibly mild winter, many are concerned about the potential for mayflies to make their debut early.
