    Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com . A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

    Dogs killed

    Dogs killed April 18 under the direction of Kelly Sears, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

    Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

    German shepherd, black and tan female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (dog aggression); surrendered April 18 by Dennis Hiner, Meteor Avenue, Toledo.

    Cocker spaniel, buff male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history); surrendered April 18 by Allan Brujek, Addison Place, Toledo.

    “Pit bull” mix, brown and white female, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (mammary masses); stray picked up by a control officer Feb. 29 at 1972 Airline Ave., Toledo.

    Miniature poodle/Chow Chow mix, tan female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (15 years old, infirm); surrendered April 18 by Carline Willis, Potomac Drive, Toledo.

    American bulldog/“pit bull” mix, black and white male; stray picked up by a control officer Oct. 9 at 410 S. Erie St., Toledo.

    “Pit bull” mx, tan and white male; surrendered April 13 by Shawn Sirkin, Pennfield Road, Toledo.

    Australian shepherd mix, chocolate and white female; surrendered April 15 by Timothy Lorigan, Willowyck Road, Maumee.

    Mixed breed, black female; stray taken to shelter Feb. 10 by Natalie Orth, Tremainsville Road, Toledo, from the 2200 block of Tremainsville Road, Toledo.
