Breaking: Lakers Reportedly Make Final Decision on Head Coach Darvin Ham

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to fire head coach Darvin Ham by the end of the week, according to team insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

"The latest I've heard is the plan is still to move on from Darvin [Ham] at some point, likely by the end of the week, potentially as early as tomorrow, then the head coaching search will start. I've already started to hear some names from different people," Buha reported on Thursday.

Ham took some serious criticism for his performance over the last couple seasons. This year, he led the Lakers to a No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and a first-round exit at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.

If this is in fact the end for Ham, he'll finish his career as the Lakers' head coach with a 90-74 regular-season record and a 9-12 record in the postseason.

This reported decision adds some extra uncertainty to an offseason that already includes questions regarding LeBron James' future with the team.
