James Harden has been excellent for the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs... until now.

Harden made embarrassing NBA Playoffs history in the Clippers' ugly Game 5 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He finished with seven points, seven assists and four rebounds in the 123-93 defeat.

Harden's seven points came on a 2-of-12 shooting night. That's where the new record was set.

Harden now holds the NBA Playoffs record for most games with 10-plus shot attempts and two or fewer makes. This is the 10th time in Harden's postseason career it's happened.

To make matters worse for James Harden, Jaden Hardy of the Mavs outscored Harden in five minutes of action. He scored 14 points in Dallas's victory.

Harden will have to play better in Game 6 for the Clippers to stay alive. But it's tough to imagine Los Angeles getting a win on Dallas's home court in an elimination game.
