According to a release, the machine was part of Greater Longview United Way’s Read to Succeed program and was the 16th to be installed.

Origin Bank sponsored the book vending machine to invest in the education and well-being of youth in the community, a release said.

“The Read to Succeed program continues to expand its reach and impact, providing children with the tools they need to thrive academically and beyond,” a release said. “With the support of Origin Bank, the addition of the 16th Book Vending Machine amplifies our efforts to promote literacy and cultivate a love for reading among young learners.”
