Lock Haven, Pa. — A Lock Haven man was charged after he allegedly kicked in the door of a home on Susquehanna Avenue and threatened another man, police say.

Thomas Janney Miller, 25, went to the home the morning of April 26 and started threatening the male occupant over a woman he was dating, according to Officer Andrew Fisher of Lock Haven City Police Department. The man told police Miller came to the home and kicked in the basement door. The accuser then fled to get away from Miller and hid in his car where he called police for help, according to the affidavit.

When police interviewed Miller, he told them the accuser had been sending him threatening messages and phone calls. He went to the home to speak with the accuser "man to man." When neither the accuser nor the woman inside would let Miller in, he kicked the door in due to frustration and the frame gave way, causing the door to open, according to the affidavit.

The accuser fled the home and Miller sat inside until police arrived. When police arrived, Miller told them he "messed up," according to the affidavit.

Police charged Miller with felony criminal trespass and summary criminal mischief. District Judge Keith G. Kibler set bail at $10,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 20 at the office of District Judge Frank P. Mills.
