Softball Game Preview: Tell City Plays at Home
The Tell City Marksmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Princeton Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tell City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Hancock County on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. Tell City has not had much luck with Hancock County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Records fall in Great Gator track meet at Bowling Green
The HCHS track teams competed in the Great Gator Invitational at Bowling Green Friday. The Hornet boys team placed third. The girls were 13th. The Hancock County boys 4×200 meter relay team placed second in 1:34. In the process they broke the HCHS school record by more than 1.5 seconds. Hornet runners were Wyatt Emmick, Matthew Carroll, Cooper Jones and Ben Baker.
Heartland Half Marathon, 5K, Team Challenge and Kids Fun Run registration is open
The Heartland Half Marathon, 5K, Team Challenge and Kids Fun Run, an eagerly anticipated event celebrating the spirit of community and fitness, will return to Jasper on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This will start a new three-year circuit that includes a Huntingburg route in 2025 and a Ferdinand route in 2026.
